Story of a Nut with a Guitar.
I am but a simple bunny with very little to say, so this'll be brief.
Kim-Khanh Catalina. Also answers to Kim, Mei Ling, and Ms. Frog-a-lot. A kook with a death wish and a smirk.
Posesses the temperment of a proufoundly disturbed waiter: Can be pleasant if
she has to but will spit in your soup first chance she gets. She very much wishes others would leave her the hell alone so she could realize her
lifelong dream of becoming
a hermit. At night, she peers up at that speckled sky and wonders why your eyes water when you yawn. (No, really, why is that?)
Life of a Funny Bunny.
19-years-old, going on 57. Everytime she walks to McDonald's and is forced to lie down with a back covered with ice packs afterward,
she feels her age. Mortality mocks her.
Sophomore in college. Lives in a clean-ish Asian suburb near Los Angeles.
Schools in a clean-ish ghetto on the outskirts of Boston. Goals include
attending a grad school in Cali and leaving the East behind permanently. Will
admit to having a fascination with snow though, as long as it is pure and white;
Brown slop snow is not at all magical.
Adored animal friends include a tiny Schnauzer/terrier mix, two
one parakeets (blue, green), and two
one fighting fish (red, blue). Adored human
friends, both off- and online, live far, far away and are rarely (if ever) seen, and yet every little interaction with them is always
enjoyable and rarely uncomfortable. I treasure that in them. Silences are sometimes necessary.
Papers her walls with images of folly and nostalgia, and in the very center, her prized John Cho autograph, in which he promises his heart
and soul
to her. Dreams daily of princes with blue-black hair & grey eyes
living in lofty treetops and smelling of soap.
It's the Little Things.
Enjoys: staring at clouds. British spelling. Twinkies. Asian sauces, especially
if mixed with garlic. Air hockey/billiards. The 80's! Books. Long hot showers.
Photos (both taking and looking). Pajamas and button-down shirts. Sarcasm. TV,
my caregiver. Mater's strange wit. Radio shows like Loveline and Kevin &
Bean. Playing with Legos. Electric rabbits. The sounds of the Smashing Pumpkins.
The smell of new sneakers, fresh tires, and the beach. Gathering shells. Poking
around tidepools. Guitar riffs.
Avoids: Poseurs/Phonies. Trashed beach. Smokers. Cold weather. Overly peppy people. Chiropractors. Coconut. Pain of any sort.
Excessive girliness. Whiners (such as myself).
Fears: Clowns. Success. Failure. Mediocrity. Change. Bad hair days. Periods.
Gave my Life and Love to Jesus.
Music: First and foremost, Smashing Pumpkins. They are the gods of the
grunge/alternative rock movement after Kurt Cobain's death. Also adore (in no
particular order): Sonic Youth, Nirvana, Beck, Depeche Mode, Billy Idol,
Morissey, The Cure, Blondie, The Violent Femmes, Shiina Ringo, The Pillows, Tori
Amos, Lisa Loeb, Sarah Slean, Everclear, Jay Chou, Pizzicato Five, Bjork, Chara,
Marilyn Monroe, Mew, Aislers Set. XTC's "I'd Like That" is
spectacularly cute.
Books: Usually enjoy twisted memoirs and the most
depressing/angsty of books. But happy little tearjerkers/heartwarmers and satire
are good too. Trainspotting, Running with Scissors, Day in the Life of Ivan
Denisovich, Rebecca, Catcher in the Rye, Handmaid's Tale, The
Fountainhead,
Dangerous Angels, Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Vanity Fair,
Pygmalion, the Bunnicula series. Authors: Jane Austen, Francesca Lia Block, Nick
Hornby, Neil Gaiman.
Movies: Likes her movies like her books: depressing, angsty, satirical,
heartwarming, and with flowy prose. 80's teen movies starring Winona
Ryder/Christian Slater/the Brat Pack, Audrey Hepburn/Marilyn Monroe Movies,
Singing in the Rain, 3 Seasons, Indiana Jones, early Johnny Depp, Waking Life,
Memento, Rushmore, Steve Martin .
I can Hear the Antichrist Callin'..
(I'll abandon the 3rd person speak now.) Aspirations include becoming a pharmacist...that way, I can help people just
like a doctor does, but without being exposed to germs, blood, pus, etc. My
pharmacy will include a soda fountain like in those days of yore, and it'll be
set in southern
California, where I hope to live out the rest of my life.
Possibly on a beach, if I'm lucky. Most likely I'll remain in the San Gabriel
Valley, and die in Pasadena...which wouldn't be so bad either.
I might
marry...Unsure at this point. I still want a treetop prince, and nothing less.
Undecided about children.
I still want to die young. Well, ok, it might be a
little too late for that, but I'd at least like to die before I hit 40.
...I can't think of anything else for
this site.
So just go already.
